Built in the 1700s by a noble Florentine family at the top of a hill 450 meters above sea level, since 1978 the farm has been owned by a family of Genoese origin. Great lovers of Tuscany, they have carried out a production and financial restructuring of the business, to support its relaunch while at the same time preserving the traditions of a family-run farm dedicated to the production of Tuscan organic wine and oil.

This business philosophy, based on harmonizing modern production techniques, artisanal methods, and environmental awareness, led the estate owners to pioneer organic farming in the Chianti Rufina wine production area.

On the estate, all the cultivation of grapes, olives, wheat, and other horticultural products complies with the standards of organic farming, and even the tourist accommodation facilities are designed and managed to cause the lowest possible environmental footprint both concerning water and energy consumption, and regarding waste management.

The estate produces a great variety of wines but markets them only in vintages that meet high-quality standards and satisfactorily express the true properties of the Chianti Rufina territory, in compliance with organic regulations.

To ensure an optimal selection, the grapes are harvested by hand, just like they used to be in the past, and the wines are made through natural fermentation without added yeasts. On average, they contain as little as one-third of the sulfites permitted by law, with the Chianti DOCG Rosso RISERVA and the Bianco IGT Toscana Frizzante being completely sulfite-free.
